The Capitol Hill Block Party showcases over 60 of the best Northwest and national independent bands. CHBP’s low ticket price offers the best fans in the country three stages over two days each summer in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Surrounded by all the great amenities you get in the middle of a city, we're all about independent music and culture, thought, and progressive politics. We feature excellent independent craft booths, local non-profits, introduce you to local pro-music politicians, and raise money for The Vera Project (www.theveraproject.org) and KEXP (www.kexp.org).

The Block Party is easy to get to via foot, bicylce or bus (http://metro.kingcounty.gov). Parking nearby is limited, so best to use some other form of transpo, and better for everyone anyhow.

ATM's are located at many businesses inside the festival (including Neumos and The Comet) and several others nearby (in front of QFC on Broadway).

We search everyone as they enter the festival. We don't allow you to bring in any of the following: weapons, projectiles, alcohol, dogs, cameras with detachable lenses, audio/video recording devices with external microphones, glass bottles, cans, wagons or carts, coolers, backpacks larger than 17" x 12" x 10", chairs, cane umbrellas, laser pointers, air horns or other noisemakers, tents, flags, lounge chairs, instruments, drugs or drug paraphernalia. If you're noticeably drunk or high or just an asshole you also won't get in, and if you turn into any of those once you do get in, you'll be escorted out (and no refunds). Remember, we are freak friendly, so if you're uptight about people different from you, you might want to go to the mall or something.
